The Golden Pixil Awards will be returning in 2007.
Objectives
The Golden Pixil Awards 2007 wants to continue its tradition of finding and displaying the very best in welsh media technology design and implementation.
Submissions will be encouraged from a every part of society. This unique approach to the awards make the Golden Pixil stand out. It allows everyday individuals to compete and share the stage with industry professionals.
The Golden Pixil Awards has and will continue to demonstrate the sheer creativity of people, businesses and communities in South Wales, no matter their social demographic or background. With the rise of internet use and media applications, it is now possible for individuals to reach out and be noticed in a way that wasn't possible 10 years ago.
The GPA gives smaller businesses, individuals, school leavers a level to aspire to.
What are the awards for?
There are in total, 10 awards with 2 awards in each section (1 for industry, 1 for non-industry)

- Best piece of animation
- Best new media game
- Best piece of new media design for the web
- Best use of new media in educational projects
- Best piece of music and new media
- Best still image created using new media
- Best logo / id / branding using new media
- Best still image created using new media
