Your Voice Your Choice

Your Voice Your Choice was a European Social Fund (ESF) project which involved ProMo-Cymru working with Working Word PR and Dynamix to encourage young people to participate with the Welsh Assembly Government.

Workshop Development

Working closely with Working Word, ProMo designed, produced, publicised and co-delivered the first level of Your Voice Your Choice workshops to 8000 young people across Wales. This was part of a wider initiative by the Welsh Assembly Government to encourage young people’s participation in all areas of their work and these workshops acted as a gateway to further training designed by Dynamix.

United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child – Article 12

The ProMo-Cymru workshop informed young people of Article 12 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and of the various channels and mechanisms that exist to facilitate and support them in voicing their opinions.  Activities were designed to inform and inspire young people to become actively involved in decision-making through their local youth forums/school councils.

Several variations of the workshop format allowed delivery to be carried out with a variety of ages, learning abilities, needs and delivery environments. This European Social Fund (ESF) funded project surpassed its targets.
