First Light Funding for Young Film Makers

First Light which is supported by the UK Film Council and the National Lottery provides grants to young people aged between 5 and 18 to participate in all aspects of fi lm productions. Support is available through two funding streams. The Pilot Awards which provides grants of up to £4,000 for the production of a 5 minute film and the Studio Awards, which provides grants of up to £20,000 for films up to 10 minutes long.

Application forms will be available from the 27th February 2006 and the closing date for applications is the 25th April 2005.
