The excited young people visited the ProMo-Cymru offices and met with the CLIC design team on the morning they arrived.

Later that evening, our staff gave an overview of CLIC, got the young people to register on the website and also shared with them the newly designed Torfaen CLIC site.

Over the next couple of days, different staff members delivered ACN training on online youth information work, creative writing and photography.

We also consulted with the young people on rewriting the CLIC Info Section, getting their opinions on how information in the new info section should be provided and presented.

Over the few days we were able to help over 20 young people gain skills and accreditation on creating content for the Torfaen CLIC site to be launched in May 2012.

“All About YOUth” was an all-day event held in Tonyrefail Leisure Centre in Rhondda Cynon Taff. It was attended by many organisations providing services to young people including WICID, Dynamix, Careers Wales, Job Centre Plus and RCT Services for Young People.

The aim of the event was to ensure young people were able to become more informed about the issues that matter to them.

Lots of CLIC goodies were given out to young people who popped by our stand to find out what CLIC was all about!

CLIC also attended the Bridgend ‘Think About Sex’ event organised by Bridgend Youth Service on the same day and took the opportunity to consult with young people on how information on sexual issues should be provided and presented on CLIConline.

The CLIC Information Section is currently being rewritten and will be relaunched on European Youth Information Day, Tuesday 17th April.

Eleven awards were handed out to individual efforts and projects alike.

Organised by the Welsh Government, the night was hosted by Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens, with Deputy Minister for Skills Jeff Cuthbert, Simon Weston OBE and Daily Mail TV critic Jaci Stephens helping with the process of handing out the awards.

Only Boys Aloud provided musical pieces before the event, ranging from the stirring Calon Lan to a choir version of Take That’s Shine, which made everyone on the CLIC table dance like monkeys who just discovered they’ll receive free bananas for life!

We also held interviews with those who attended, including Huw Edwards, Simon Weston OBE and members of Only Men Aloud, all of which will be uploaded to CLICplay.
