CLIC Battle of the Bands

The CLIC Battle of the Bands was a Wales-wide search for the best young (11 to 25-year-old) unsigned band, performer or producer. We worked closely with industry professionals to ensure our competition presented young musicians with an opportunity to get heard, be recognised and – most importantly – receive invaluable advice and feedback from people in the know.

Using the internet to help promote all entrants to BOTB in the run-up to an online poll where the public voted for their favourite bands, the finalists were invited to perform before a panel of industry professionals and a crowd of around 150 people at the showcase final in November 2009 held in EVI.   

The winner of the competition was CodeOne, receiving the prize consisting of:

·      One week’s studio time

·      Professionally produced master CD

·      MP3 for digital downloads

·      Professional photography session

·      Professional online design package
