JLD / ACT client

Who is JLD?:

JLD [Jenna Louise Dickens], 16, has already made a big reputation as a live MC, with her grimey Hip-Hop style and whitty sharp lyrics.

Aim:

Promo has been developing JLD since she was 12, after meeting her at a local youth club in Cwmbran. At the moment JLD is Recording an album with Promo client Steven Johnson and Promo’s client development officer Marcus Simpson @ the Promo studio, as part of the ACT project.

Results:

JLD has won the Wales heat for BBC 1Xtra’s Battle of the nations and performed live on 1Xtra.

Since working with JLD she has recorded a music video, performed on BBC 1Xtra, Radio 1, BBC Wales and beats FM a local Cardiff community radio station. Jenna is still working on her album after having big interests with a Sony A&R in London.
